Our Story
Hi! Welcome to Akela Ragdolls. We are small cattery registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). We’re located in The beautiful city of Puyallup, Washington. We love our Ragdolls, and they are an intricate part of our family. When we were looking at adding the perfect cats to our family, we knew we wanted extremely friendly cats, who wanted to be a part of our family and wanted all the love we had to give them. Needless to say, we found the Ragdoll breed and instantly knew they were the right fit for our family with 3 girls! We love this breed and we are dedicated to placing the healthiest, socialized and beautiful kittens in their forever homes. We currently specialize in Lilac and Blue Ragdoll Kittens. We also produce Show Quality Cats.
We came to love this breed, as they are the best family pets that adore everyone. These lovable cats emulate their name. These big, lovable creatures go limp in your arms and many love to sleep on their backs. Did you know that the Ragdollls are often called "puppy cats?" They are extremely playful and are easy to train! Some will even sit for a treat and fetch the ball when you toss it! They are generally by your side or they will follow you around and you can’t have a more loyal companion. Their big blue eyes are so captivating! Our Rags will always be part of our family and they only get the best. These cats are extremely laid back and we raise them with our dog.
We chose the name Akela because it means graceful and noble, just like these cats. These cats are inside cats, because they are extremely docile and very affectionate. They have medium to long silky coats that do require brushing from time to time.

All of our Ragdolls are on the best quality of Vitamins and supplements around the clock. They are on the Breeder’s Edge program and they never lack in their nutrition, as that is invaluable. Not only in their health, but also in the health of your kittens. They get a combination of dry and wet food daily as well.
They are all genetically tested for HCM and all have tested negative as well as have had a full genetic panel test and have cleared on all their tests as well as they are registered with TICA.
